Verification systems for renewable energy (Fundamentals Report G1)

How can an industrial company contribute to government renewable energy expansion programmes by switching to renewable energy? How can it ensure a sustainable energy supply for itself? The Fundamentals Report G1 – “Verification systems for renewable energy” addresses these questions by introducing the readers to the world of renewable energy verification. The most important innovations from RED II are presented, e.g. the new regulations on guarantees of origin.

Companies can obtain renewable energy in different ways, which differ fundamentally in terms of how the energy, or just its green property, moves from production to consumption. Each mode of procurement requires its own verification method under RED II. These modes are presented individually, assigned to their fields of application and compared in terms of their possibilities and limitations, e.g. regarding manageability and accuracy.
