Guarantees of origin (GOs) for renewable energy

Many industrial companies want – and need – to make their production increasingly green. This requires verifiably renewable energy sources. Verifiability in turn requires credible instruments, political guidelines, and practical advice on implementation.

Focus on applicability for industrial consumers

This interface is precisely where the GO4Industry project comes in. Funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, the project team is developing the basis for a comprehensive national verification concept for renewable energy. This includes an analysis of how guarantees of origin and other verification concepts for renewable energy sources could interact in the future. This website offers a wealth of information on how scientific principles and practical input from industry and the energy sector are combined.
